About This Grant

The Changing the Game Grant is a $20,000 grant program from Stanley 1913, created in partnership with women’s sports media company TOGETHXR (co-founded by Alex Morgan, Chloe Kim, Simone Manuel, and Sue Bird) and administered by Honeycomb Credit. Five founders will each receive $20,000 to build or reimagine a food and beverage space, such as a bar, restaurant, cafe, event venue, or community space, designed around women’s sports as the main event rather than a secondary broadcast.

To qualify, applicants must own or represent a for-profit business registered and in good standing in the U.S., be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama and Nebraska), and be a legal U.S. resident; the program is open in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. Businesses can be already operating or still in the planning stage. Applications are accepted from March 31 through July 31, 2026, with one submission per business. Applicants go through an eligibility screen, then a finalist round judged on narrative strength, community impact, innovation, and mission alignment, with five recipients selected by Stanley 1913 and announced at an in-person event in New York City in October. Funds can go toward buildout, equipment, programming, community-building, food and beverage costs, marketing, or operations, and recipients may be asked to provide documentation showing how the grant was used. This is a grant, not a loan, so no repayment is required.
