The City of Ontario offers a 50/50 matching grant (up to $25,000) to revitalize commercial storefronts in the Historic Downtown, improving signage, lighting, windows, and overall pedestrian appeal. Funding comes from HUD CDBG.
How You Can Use the Funds
- Eligible façade improvements including signage, lighting, and windows to enhance historic character and walkability.

- Staff Application Review & Agreement Execution
- Approved Applicants Recieve Notice to Proceed Before Starting Work
- Reimbursement Provided After Project Completion with Requested Receipts, Lien Waivers, & Documentation
Eligibility Requirements
- Projects must be within the designated Ontario Downtown area.
- Property owners or business tenants
- Located between Emporia St to G St (100–200 S. Euclid; 100–600 N. Euclid)
- One application per façade
