About This Grant
EmpowHer grants support women who need early-stage business capital, a network of business advisors, or both. Grantees will have access to financial, marketing, leadership, and sector professionals who can advise on business focus, next steps, and longer-range planning.
EmpowHer Grants are reviewed quarterly: applications are open for 4-6 weeks at the start of each quarter. If you do not have enough time to complete an application before it closes, please consider waiting to begin in the next quarter:
- Q1: January-March
- Q2: April-June
- Q3: July-September
- Q4: October-December
How You Can Use the Funds
- The grant is designed for early-stage businesses, with funding up to $25,000 provided as reimbursement for business-related expenses
Documents Required
- You will need to create a free Submittable account or sign in with Google or Facebook credentials to submit your Boundless Futures Foundation grant application.
- Applications must include business plans and detailed budgets.
- To be awarded grant funding, applicants must self-report a credit score and agree to a third-party background check.
Eligibility Requirements
- The EmpowHer Grant program has specific eligibility requirements that likely do not align with MECISC:
- Applicants must be female entrepreneurs 22 years of age or older
- The business must be registered and operating solely in the United States
- The business must make a clear social impact through its product or business model, addressing issues related to poverty and hunger, sustainability and the environment, or strong communities
- The business must be a registered for-profit entity
- The business must be earning revenue and not be more than 3 years old
- Applicants must self-report a credit score and agree to a third-party background check
- Businesses that are eligible for an EmpowHer Grant address one of the following social issues* through their product or business model:
• Poverty & Hunger
• Sustainability & the Environment
• Strong Communities
