About This Grant

The 2025 Fueling Emerging Entrepreneurs grant supports for-profit businesses located in Los Angeles County with annual revenues up to $250,000. The program is designed to assist micro-businesses from a variety of sectors aiming for innovation, growth, and community impact

How You Can Use the Funds

  • Funds are flexible-use and may be applied toward business growth, operations, marketing, supplies, technology upgrades, equipment, legal/accounting services, certification fees, contracting readiness, and similar business needs.

Documents Required

  • Complete all challenge steps (nine guided activities assessing aspects like media presence, finance, legal, tech, and ops strategy).
  • Submit a short pitch video.
  • No formal business plan required (optional to submit at the end).
  • Must provide details and clarity on business model, goals, and intended grant impact within application responses and video pitch.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Business must be based in Los Angeles County.
  • Annual revenue up to $250,000.
  • For-profit business only; many types eligible (e.g., makers, innovators, content creators, tech, food, consulting, health, etc.).
  • Active business checking account in the business’s name.
  • Owner must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have a business profile on a social media platform (Fud app, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
  • Priority given to businesses based in specific LA County cities (such as Los Angeles, Inglewood, Long Beach, Santa Monica, etc.).
  • Completion of all challenge steps (1–9), including assessments and a video pitch.
  • Business must demonstrate potential for growth and community impact.
