About This Grant
Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is an investment in the growth of small businesses. The program provides entrepreneurs with access to education, capital, and support services to help them create jobs and economic opportunity in their communities.
With a curriculum designed by Babson College — the nation’s top-ranked school for entrepreneurship — participants engage in a 12-week intensive business education program that includes 10 hours per week of in-class instruction, one-on-one business advising, and connection to a network of over 17,000 graduates across all 50 states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico. 96% of participants complete the program. Among alumni, 66% increased revenue and 44% created new jobs within 6 months of graduation.
Topics covered include:
- vision and strategy
- money and metrics
- leadership
- management and hiring
- marketing and sales
- operations and technology
- planning and forecasting.
Note: This is a free education program, not a traditional cash grant. The program is 100% funded by the Goldman Sachs Foundation, so there’s no cost to participants, but it doesn’t distribute grant money directly to businesses.
