How You Can Use the Funds

  • Typical uses include jewelry supplies and materials (silver, findings, chain, wire, sheet, gemstones), business essentials (packaging, display, branded materials), and experimentation/new design to expand collections.

Documents Required

  • Completed application form
  • Written responses to business and marketing strategy questions
  • A jewelry portfolio (typically 5–10 high-quality photos)
  • A business plan with sales goals, financial projections, and long‑term strategy

Eligibility Requirements

  • Emerging designers working primarily in sterling or fine silver.
  • U.S. citizens or permanent residents, intending to pursue a full-time jewelry career with a national or broad regional market focus.
  • Business within the five-year window from when you began selling for income (student years don’t count; reopening, rebranding, new product lines, or new licenses do not qualify as “new” if the prior business exceeded five years).
