About This Grant
The Melissa Washington Small Business Award (MWSBA) is an annual award of up to $5,000, at the discretion of the awards committee and the Women Veterans Giving Board of Directors. Recipients also receive an assessment, coaching, a certificate of recognition, an MWSBA brooch, and other benefits.
Three finalists will be announced the week of September 1, 2026, and the award will be presented during the VIB Network National Conference on November 2–3, 2026, in Palm Springs, California. Registration costs and hotel are covered for the three finalists. Attendance is not mandatory to receive the award.
