About This Grant
The AT&T “She’s Connected” Small Business Contest aims to empower and recognize small businesses run by entrepreneurs across the United States. The initiative offers financial support, a year of AT&T services, and premium mentorship opportunities, with the goal of helping businesses achieve visibility and growth while aligning with the brand’s purpose, Connecting Changes Everything.
Grand Prize: $50,000 toward the winner’s small business.
Runner-up Prize: Four (4) runner-ups each receive $5,000.
How You Can Use the Funds
- Grant winners must use the funds toward the growth and development of their small business. This can include scaling operations, funding employee needs, marketing, purchasing equipment, or other business initiatives that align with their vision and AT&T’s core purpose of connecting people and improving communities.
Documents Required
- Personal information (e.g., name, email address, birthdate, and phone number).
- Business information (e.g., name, address, type of business, website, and social media handles).
- Proof of business registration or ownership.
- Two essays (750 words max each):
- 1. Vision/Mission Statement: Describe the business’s mission, community impact, and how the grant would make a difference.
- 2. Alignment with AT&T’s Purpose: Explain how the business aligns with AT&T’s guiding principle of Connecting Changes Everything.
- (Optional) Supporting photos of the business’s team, activities, or events.
- For nominations: If nominating another business, the nominator must fill out a similar form, explaining why the nominee deserves the grant. The nominee receives email prompts to complete the application.
Eligibility Requirements
- Entrants must be legal residents of the 50 United States or Washington, D.C.
- Entrants must be the sole or majority owners of a small business with 50 or fewer employees.
- The business must be registered and operational within the United States.
- Entrants must be age 18 or older and have reached the age of majority by the time of entry.
- Employees and immediate family members of AT&T or associated organizations are not eligible.
