About This Grant
The Intuit QuickBooks® and Mailchimp® Small Business Hero Program is a national contest designed to recognize and support small businesses that demonstrate courage, perseverance, and a positive impact in their communities.
Each winner receives a $20,000 USD check, along with other benefits such as:
- An Instagram post on @quickbooks (valued at $3,000).
- An Instagram post on @mailchimp (valued at $4,000).
- A feature on the QuickBooks Blog (valued at $500).
- 12 months of QuickBooks Online Advanced (valued at $2,208).
- 12 months of Mailchimp Standard Marketing Plan (valued at $9,600). The total prize package is valued at $39,308.
Phase Timeline:
- Phase 1: May 15, 2025 – August 14, 2025.
- Phase 2: August 15, 2025 – November 14, 2025.
- Phase 3: November 15, 2025 – February 14, 2026.
- Phase 4: February 15, 2026 – May 15, 2026.
Businesses or nominators can submit entries within each phase period. Each phase allows for fresh nominations, providing opportunities throughout the year.
How You Can Use the Funds
- The $20,000 grant is provided to help run or grow the business. Winners will also partake in promotional opportunities, including social media features and blog posts.
Documents Required
- A submission form including:
- 1. Full name and valid email address of the nominator.
- 2. Details about the business (name, location, website, and/or social channels).
- A 50–300 word written response describing how the business inspires its community.
- All submissions must comply with content restrictions outlined in the official rules.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- They must reside in the 50 United States (including Washington D.C.).
- All applicants must agree to the program’s Official Rules for participation.
- Have been established for at least one year.
- Have no more than 99 W-2 employees.
- Be a for-profit entity or a 501(c)(3) organization.
- Be active and lawful with proper licenses and registrations.
- Not have won the program in the past two years.
- Relatives of nominators, employees of Intuit or its affiliates, and government officials are excluded.
